MEKLIT – Live In Concert: When The People Move The Music Moves Too!

Feb 17 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$20

MOSH and Atypical Arts Presents is partnering to present a unique, world class live music event by Meklit on Saturday, February 17 from 7 — 10 p.m.

Meklit is a San Francisco based Ethio-American singer, composer and cultural instigator. Her unique sound brings together pentatonic horns, high energy East African rhythms and a singer-songwriter’s storytelling and strum. She will perform songs from her new album, When the People Move, the Music Moves Too. Produced by multi-GRAMMY winner Dan Wilson (Adele, John Legend) and inspired by Mulatu Astatke (the Godfather of Ethio-Jazz), the album features Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Andrew Bird. It reached #4 on the iTunes World Charts, was named one of the Best Soul Albums of 2017 by Bandcamp and one of the 100 Best Albums of the Year by the Sunday Times UK. Her April 2017 Lincoln Center performance was named one of the Best NYC Concerts of 2017 by New York Music Daily.

Tickets are $20
