On the Pulse Presents Diabetes: Don’t Sugarcoat It

Nov 15 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In honor of National Diabetes Awareness Month, On the Pulse invites you to a panel discussion covering the common causes of diabetes in adults and children.

Join health professionals from Mayo Clinic and St. Vincent’s HealthCare as they offer their insights on diabetes and how it has impacted the Jacksonville community. Learn the steps to take towards creating healthier families and how to support those with diabetes.

Nitika Malhotra, M.D., Endocrinologist, St. Vincent’s HealthCare

Evelyn Schumacher, M.D., Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, Joshua Cares Services, Inc., St. Vincent’s HealthCare

Richard White, M.D., MSc, Division of Community Internal Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL

On the Pulse is a series of programs that takes an in-depth look at some of Jacksonville’s hardest hitting health issues while offering new views that actively challenge social stereotypes and promote acceptance. Join MOSH as we tackle topics and give a voice to silent issues within the city.

This is a FREE program but we ask that you RSVP by emailing Elizabeth Valnoha, Public Programs Coordinator at evalnoha@themosh.org.
