Science on Tap–JAX presents Relying on Data over Intuition

Science on Tap-JAX is a science speaker series creating deeper conversations and understanding of scientific topics relevant to the Jacksonville community.

Dr. Heather Truelove of the University of North Florida will discuss some psychological barriers to information processing, highlighting how research is superior to our interpretation of our experiences. Dr. Mike Binder, also of UNF, will discuss how political polling accurately reflects the beliefs and votes in the upcoming elections.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a pre-talk mix and mingle. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. A question and answer session with the audience will be held immediately following the talk.

The event is at Intuition Ale Works and is free and open to the public.
