The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium

The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium, one of the largest single-lens planetariums in the United States, uses cutting edge technology to bring the night skies to life and entertain visitors of all ages.

Programs are immersive productions about deep space exploration, our dynamic planet and the human experience connecting all the dots in the universe. Daily live presentations are led by knowledgeable planetarium Educators piloting MOSH’s digital projection system.

Planetarium Programs are $5.95 each. MOSH Members receive one free Planetarium show per visit. Tickets and Member reservations are only available at the front desk during your visit.

  • Laser Show
    • 12 PM  |  Bryan-Gooding Planetarium
      Experience total sensory entertainment as laser lights, high-def images, and digital sound collide to create a family-friendly laser show in the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium!

    Earth, Moon, & Sun

    • 1 PM  |  Bryan-Gooding Planetarium
      Travel through space and familiarize yourself with the most prominent of celestial bodies—the Earth, Moon, and Sun.  “Coyote” will break down some famous misconceptions and uncover the truth about the relationships between these three orbs.

    Skies Over Jacksonville

    • 2 PM  |  Bryan-Gooding Planetarium
      Even at two o’clock in the afternoon you have an opportunity to stare into a dark night sky and contemplate your place in the Universe. Join us under the 60-foot Planetarium dome to be led by our educators through a live-narrated program that investigates our skies over Jacksonville.

    Legends of the Night Sky: Orion

    • 3 PM  |  Bryan-Gooding Planetarium
      Follow Orion’s animated adventures as you learn how the constellation Orion was placed in the sky.

Zula Patrol

  • 11 AM  |  Bryan-Gooding Planetarium
    While on a routine fossil hunting expedition, the Zula Patrol discovers that someone’s been dumping trash in Earth’s prehistoric past! On their mission to catch the culprit, they learn all about the formation and development of Earth and its inhabitants.

Laser Show

  • 12 PM  |  Bryan-Gooding Planetarium

      This is the closest you’ll come all week to traveling through outer space… guaranteed! Join our Planetarium Educators as they highlight the discoveries of major objects in our Solar System in this live-narrated tour of Earth’s backyard.

The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium at MOSH presents Planetarium Night Live, a program that allows you to expand your mind and explore the cosmos through space simulations, storytelling, interactive demonstrations, and immersive, live-narrated video projection under the Planetarium’s 60-foot dome. New insights await!

Explore space at your own pace with a morning created for Seniors (55+ only)!  Embark on an amazing voyage that digs into a mysterious concept in space science.  New insights are brought to life through this interactive and live-narrated program in the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium.  Space simulations, storytelling, demonstrations, and digital video projection are manipulated to leave fans of space awestruck under the 60-foot Planetarium dome.
