Celebrate International Animation Day at MOSH with the Kick-off of Our “Drawn to Jax” Mural Contest.
This Saturday, October 28th, come celebrate International Animation Day at Northeast Florida’s only Animation-themed exhibition in Jacksonville’s beloved Museum of Science & History (MOSH).
This year, MOSH is delighted to offer Jacksonville’s residents and visitors an opportunity not only to celebrate International Animation Day by viewing The Animation Academy, but also and an opportunity to kick off the celebration with the launch of “Drawn to Jax.” This months-long contest allows entrants to display their hand-drawn, Jax-inspired masterpieces for a chance to win a pair of VIP tickets and a chance to paint a wall-sized, Jacksonville-themed mural inside the MOSH lobby.*
Beginning this Saturday, October 28th and continuing through Sunday, February 12, 2024, bring in a family-friendly drawing on paper, or create one inside The Animation Academy. Simply submit your work along with a contest entry form at the Museum’s front desk. Each week, MOSH will randomly select one (1) winner of two (2) VIP admission tickets and then, at the conclusion of The Animation Academy, a jury of professional animators will select one (1) talented artist to return to MOSH and paint a wall-sized, Jax-inspired mural in the Museum’s lobby.
*No age limit. One entry on paper and no larger than 8.5″ x 11″ per admission. Must purchase an admission or be a member to enter.Â
