MOSH offers interactive, inquiry-based learning for your student in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics! Check out MOSH’s newest Homeschool Program offerings today!

Enjoy MOSH at your own pace during Homeschool Takeover Days! On these days, the Museum will be open exclusively to homeschool families and co-op groups. Enjoy reduced capacity for exploring exhibits, private shows in the JEA Science Theater and Bryan-Gooding Planetarium, animal encounters, and activity stations throughout the Museum, for an all-inclusive ticket cost.

Cost: $25.50/student, $16.50/adult

MOSH is excited to offer interactive, inquiry-based learning for your student through our Homeschool Academy! MOSH’s Homeschool Academy meets for 3 total sessions per series, with each class building on lessons learned in the previous meeting. Parents are welcome to drop-off their child for the program.

Spring 2022 Sessions:

MOSH’s Homeschool Science Fair
March 29, April 5, April 12 from 1 – 4 p.m.
Cost per class: $20/student; $12/adult (MOSH Members receive 10% off listed prices)

Homeschool Academy students will practice the scientific method and develop their own Science Fair project over the course of three lessons at the Museum, which will be on display during the April 20 Takeover Day. In addition, students will practice hands-on science experiments in the JEA Science Theater! Participation in the MOSH Science Fair series grants admission to the February 2 Homeschool Takeover Day as a project exhibitor.

Bold City Bicentennial – Jacksonville History Fair
April 19, April 26, May 3 from 1 – 4 p.m.
Cost per class: $20/student; $12/adult (MOSH Members receive 10% off listed prices)

Year 2022 marks the 200th Anniversary of Jacksonville’s founding. To celebrate the Bold City’s birthday, MOSH is hosting a Homeschool History Fair! Homeschool Academy students will learn about the history of Northeast Florida and about how we study the past, then develop their own History-based project to display as part of MOSH’s Bold City Bicentennial 2022 exhibit series.

Registration & Program Guidelines

In order to secure spots for a particular program, payment must be made before the day of the program. Once a program is sold out, no further tickets will be available for purchase online or in person. Late registration (the day of) can only be done in person, and tickets cannot be guaranteed. 

Participants arriving more than 20 minutes late will not be admitted into the program. Refunds or credits will not be given to late or no-show groups.
