Expedition: Dinosaur Public Opening

Discover the world of dinosaurs and the hunt for their fossils in MOSH’s current traveling exhibition, Expedition: Dinosaur! There are a variety of hands on activities including the five-finger robot nest with eggs, the futuristic Dinosaur Research Lab with video stations, augmented reality sandbox, the Pangea Puzzle and more. Come explore with us!

Opening Day Activities (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.):

  • Create a Dino Scene! Show your creativity side.
  • Museum Wide Dino Scavenger Hunt
  • Make a Fossil Imprint

Programming:

  • JEA Extreme! Science Shows @ 11:30 a.m. | 1:30 a.m. | 3:30 a.m.
    • Dinomite!
      Join MOSH as we travel back 66 million years ago and learn about what life was like during the Age of the Dinosaurs! Feel the extreme temperatures of the Triassic. Discover how the massive dinosaurs of the Jurassic moved and used energy!
  • Bryan-Gooding Planetarium Show @ 2 p.m.
    • What Rocked the Dinosaurs?
      Learn about the birth of our solar system, the role of asteroids in creation and destruction, and what all of this has to do with what rocked the dinosaurs 64 million years ago.
  • Special Guest – First Coast Hot Wheels Club
    • Grab a car and race through different obstacles!
