“Anybody in this room not gonna play in my band, you got to fight your way out!”
– Duane Allman
It’s been 50 years since the first jam session of the Allman Brothers Band in Jax! MOSH is celebrating this memorable music moment that helped put Jacksonville on the map for Southern Rock. This event coincides with the dedication of a state historic marker at the Gray House on Riverside Avenue on March 23, 2019.
Travel back in time on the MOSH Rooftop with local musicians coming together as PEACHES UNDER THE STARS featuring members of Custard Pie, Ben Strok & The Full Electric, and Them Vagabonds as they pay tribute to the legacy of the Allman Brothers Band. Historian and ABB fanatic Bob Beatty will chat about the influence these players had in American music. There will also be special appearances by Bob Kealing and Dennis Price, the homeowner who set it all in motion.
MOSH Rooftop doors open to guests; cash bar opens and will be available throughout the event
