Tonca is turning 54 on Saturday, July 25! Our adored Alligator snapping turtle has been MOSH’s unofficial mascot since 1994. This is the only day of the year that Tonca is removed from MOSH’s Hixon Native Plant Courtyard! Come celebrate with us at MOSH!

Check-in for the VIT Experience at 12:45 p.m. at the entrance of Creation Station, 1st Floor.

Guests will have the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Tonca during his annual weigh-in and checkup at 1 p.m. in our Creation Station exhibit! The experience will include:

• Party hats to wish Tonca Happy Birthday

• A Q&A session with one of our Naturalists who takes care of our unofficial mascot
• A special animal encounter with Tonca’s friends

See the Livestream of Tonca’s weigh-in and checkup at 1 p.m. on a whole new level in our Bryan-Gooding Planetarium! The experience will include:

• General Admission
• A multisensory music experience as laser lights and high-def images collide
• Tonca Through the Years Video Montage
• Larger than life livestream viewing of Tonca’s annual checkup
