Volunteer Docent Program
Docents are dedicated volunteers who have a passion for working in an educational setting and have a strong desire to support the Museum. They play a major role in helping visitors learn about the history of Northeast Florida and are integral to the Museum’s mission of inspiring the joy of life-long learning by bringing to life the sciences and regional history.
MOSH Docents will receive training on how to lead public tours, interact with guests, and interpret the exhibits.
MOSH Docents are expected to dedicate a minimum number of shifts per month.
As part of this special volunteer program, docents are immediately awarded a MOSH Volunteer t-shirt and a name badge. A Compound Level Membership is awarded to volunteers who complete 25 hours of volunteer service.
