Tots in Space

Tots in Space provides early exposure to basic STEAM concepts for families and their toddlers. Parents will grow their skills as their child’s first teacher with MOSH as their backdrop. This program allows you and your tot (1-3 years old) to explore the museum on a day when we are closed to the public.

Tots in Space Information

Program

  • Tots in Space is offered every other month on a Tuesday from 9 am – 11 am. 
  • Each session covers a different topic with hands-on activities and relevant programming.  
  • Children should be between the ages of 1-3 years old to participate in the program, but the whole family is invited to visit. 

Sample Schedule

  • 9 – 9:45 am – Museum Exploration and Check In
  • 9:45 – 10 am – Circle Time
  • 10 – 10:45 am – Hands-On Activities
  • 10:45- 11 am – Planetarium Show

Pricing

  • Toddlers (1-3 years old) | $15
  • Children (4+ years old)  | $12
  • Accompanying Adult | $12

Registration

  • All registration must take place online at least 24 hours before the start of class. No walk-ins will be accepted. Once a program is sold out, no further tickets will be available for purchase. 
  • All sales are final – refunds or credits will not be given to late or no-show families.

November 12 – Cosmos of Color

Colors in lights, colors in paints, colors in space. Touch the colors of the HUEniverse with your eyes while using hands-on activities to observe how colors behave.

January 21, 2025 – Tiny Thermal Lab

OUCH! Is that hot or freezing cold? Starting very tiny and arriving at cosmic scale, tots will explore activities from washing to racing colors to glow-in-the dark jewelry, to discover how temperature influences various aspects of their world.

March 25, 2025 – Shadows and Light

Eek! What is that? Oh, it’s just my shadow! Don’t be afraid of your own shadow! Through playing with shadow puppets and exploring eclipses, tots will experience the relationship between lights and shadows.

May 13, 2025 – TOTally Opposites

Up and down, left and right, dark and light. Opposites are everywhere! Exploring concepts such as fast or slow, big and small, tots will discover how seemingly opposing forces can coexist or even complement each other.
