How It Works

Plan to arrive at the Museum (front doors) at 6:45 PM MOSH Staff will be in the front lobby to welcome campers. Parking can be found in the lot across the street from MOSH in designated MOSH parking spots. Campers will be provided a late-night pizza snack, but we recommend campers eat dinner before coming to the Museum.

In the morning, a continental breakfast will be served. Please be aware that due to our artifacts and collections, MOSH is temperature controlled and can get chilly at night. We advise that you bring warm clothes and plenty of blankets. Also please be aware that not all light will be extinguished in the Museum, so there will be some spaces that remain lit throughout the night for safety purposes. Feel free to bring your own snacks and water, but please note that gum is not allowed in the Museum.

Camp-In FAQs

The minimum age for campers is three years old, and all campers must attend with an adult that will be responsible for them during the evening.

Guests can arrive to check in at 6:45 PM, but the Camp-In will not officially begin until 7 PM. We ask that guests pack up after breakfast and depart the Museum by 7:30 AM.

Please bring a flashlight, sleeping bag, pillow, and blankets with you, along with any toiletries that you might need. Adults can bring air mattresses as well.

Guests are welcome to sleep in any carpeted area of the Museum. That means you can sleep by the Allosaurus, the life-sized whale, or even in our traveling exhibit gallery.

The Museum tends to get chilly at night, so make sure you bring warm blankets and/or a sweater.

A late-night pizza snack is served, but we suggest you eat dinner before coming. Then a continental breakfast will be served before leaving in the morning.

You are welcome to bring snacks; we just ask that you please be mindful of keeping the Museum clean.

During most instances, the MOSH Store will be open for at least an hour.

Please note: One chaperone is required for every six children. MOSH may cancel a Camp-In if a minimum of 50 people do not register; maximum capacity is 100 people. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your Camp-In date and final payment is due no later than 30 days before your event date. Credits or refunds will not be given for members of your group that are no shows/no calls.
