MOSH REOPENING INFORMATION

WELCOME BACK!

The Museum of Science & History is excited to welcome everyone back! Upon visiting the Museum, you will see changes and new safety protocols. These changes and protocols are in line with guidelines and requirements set by government and public health agencies.

  • We are limiting the number of guests each day to maintain appropriate social distancing.
  • Ticket sales and member reservations are online only* and are required for all guests.

  • All guests must purchase tickets, or make a member reservation, in advance.
  • Tickets are only valid for the date and time specified.
  • All guests are required to wear masks when visiting the Museum. If you do not have a mask, you can purchase a single-use mask for $1 at the Museum.
  • Please note due to the current regulations some Museum experiences may be temporarily closed or modified to protect the safety of our guests and staff.

Only 35 tickets are available per each time slot. Tickets are only valid for the date and time specified. A digital confirmation and timed tickets will be emailed. Guests please bring your printed or digital ticket at your SELECTED time.

Reservations are free for members and valid for the date and time specified. Members please bring your printed or digital ticket, along with your membership card at your SELECTED time.

  • All guests are required to wear masks when visiting the Museum. If you do not have a mask, you can purchase a single-use mask for $1 at the Museum.
    • Children ages 6+ must wear a mask. Children under the age of 6 are not required to wear a mask.
  • We encourage all guests to practice social distancing and to utilize hand sanitation stations throughout the Museum.
  • Museum staff will clean and disinfect high-traffic areas on an hourly basis, focusing especially on frequently touched surfaces.
  • When spending time in an exhibit space, please respect social distancing guidelines.
  • Always remember to keep one Tonca length apart from other groups when moving around the Museum.
  • As recommended by the CDC, if you feel sick, please stay home.
  • An Outdoor Science Experience on the side lawn toward Friendship Fountain is offered during your visit. (weather permitting)
  • One 15-minute Animal Encounter in the Florida Naturalist’s Center is offered during your visit.
  • Capacity in exhibit spaces, Florida Naturalist’s Center and Museum Store will be limited to encourage social distancing. We ask for patience and understanding as we adhere to these mandated limits. The Florida Naturalist’s Center is limited to 10 guests at a time. Only one family will be allowed to use the elevator at a time.
  • Please follow the designated path throughout the Museum and respect all directional signage.
  • Stylus pens are provided during your Museum visit for use on touchscreens and buttons around the Museum. We ask that you return these pens upon your departure from the Museum.
  • Some hands-on interactives and touchscreen experiences in the Museum may not be available for health and safety reasons.
  • Please note due to the current regulations the following activities, exhibits, spaces and programs are temporarily closed to protect the safety of our guests and staff: VyStar Intertidal Touch Tank, Invertebrate Encounters, JEA Science Theater, Extreme Science Shows, Creation Station, Wells Fargo Community Conference Room, Kidspace, Hurricane Machine, Coin Press and Photo Booth. Thank you for understanding. We look forward to returning to regular operations.

MOSH Summer Discovery Camps allow children to explore the science and magic of Harry Potter, learn all about the wonders of Space, tour the world of Dinosaurs, and much more in a fun, safe environment! We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and the related precautionary measures recommended by government and public health agencies. With this in mind, every event is subject to change in response to city, state and public health guidelines as we navigate this “new normal.”
