About Sip-N-Parol

Come out and enjoy a unique experience at MOSH! We will be learning to make a parol together and every attendee will have a beautiful ornament to take home with them when we are finished! A parol is a Filipino ornamental lantern displayed during the Christmas season. It is a local adaptation of the Hispanic tradition of carrying small light sources during the nine-day Christmas Novena procession leading up to the midnight mass (called Simbang Gabi) in the Philippines. Expert partners from Jax Filipino School will guide participants in creating the parol ornament and larger completed parols will be available for purchase.

Minimum age for participation: 15 years old
